What do chimpanzees eat?
Chimpanzees are omnivores. This means they eat both plants and animals. Fruits,
nuts, leaves, plants, mushrooms, flowers, insects, and meat are just a few of the
sources of food a chimpanzees feed on. They're diet mostly consist of fruit, but
can change depending on the time of year. Chimps can spend up to 7 hours a day
and 2-5 miles traveling just eating. About 20 different species of plants and
300 different species in one year.During the dry season when fruit isn't as
abundant resin and bark become an important part of their diet. Other animals
such as monkeys, pigs, and antelope as eaten, but mostly by males.
