What things limit the survival of the organism?

There are many factors limiting the survival of chimpanzees. One cause of chimp deaths is poaching. Many people kill chimpanzees and sell them. Chimpanzees used to live in the equatorial forest "belt" in Africa. Habitat fragmentation has causes the population of chimps to dramatically decrease to about 100,000 to 200,000. Chimpanzees splitting up has caused more secondary re-growth in open woodlands, bamboo forests, swamp forests, and even open savanna.
